Meet my Hoplesses Eyes with Anger

There is a special type of hopelessness that comes with watching yourself slip into despair

The first time Not realizing how far gone you are Until luck or love or change bring you back from the brink

And from then it's a constant fight It was always a fight of course But now it's a bloody war waged for all your conscious mind to see And you get better Find the joy you forgot you were missing

And then everything slips Like sand through fingers But this time you can see it

Know exactly what it means when thoughts are stained red And then hopelessness and anger take shifts keeping you company

I was ok. I was getting better. I cared. I wanted. Why? Why take that away How could you take that away Betrayed by my own mind

I want it back I want it to stop I'm just tired I don't want to give up But no reasons fuel the want Which makes it harder But not impossible

In the moments of anger Hope can shine through too
