The Winter Dream

Snow falling lightly, Getting entangled in your hair. Your perfume, sweet and candy-like, Wafting in the breeze. The wind comes up. You shiver, huddling closer. You shiver again, I open my jacket invitingly. You're warm. Your heart beats gaining, Your checks turn red, Your hazel eyes grow big. My hands wrap around you, Protecting you from an unseen force. You gaze up at me, I gaze back. You start laughing, Slowly first, then gaining. I join in. We stand there, Snow falling, Laughing, gazing. I lean in, You follow. Our lips brush. I slowly arise from my dream, Like a Phoenix rising. I gaze around, vision hazy. The board, Graffitied by words. A voice asks something, frustrated. I reply, before gathering my things. As I walk out, Our eyes meet. Hazel in blue. It holds, Something passes, Then it's gone. I exit with curiosity. Could she? Why would she? I think as my mind returns, To a Winter Dream.
