The Veil

Venesa BakerContemplative

When we are young A veil is placed In front of our eyes Shielding us, From the Dangers And horrors In the real world. Thats why children are Happy Careless Naive But eventually, They get more serious, Some get stressed And others depressed And in this world It happens to kids sooner And sooner Ruining childhoods Happy memories That could have been. As we get older The veil is shredded And its in front of eyes No more.
