Quite the Prison

Quite the prison I do confine Me in. Yes, it's of a special kind, One of my own design; These bars forged within my mind. I kick and scream to be set free Knowing well I hold the key That can end my misery. My jailor, a demon of my creation, Keeps watch over this bird's cage And stimulates the desperation. Her attacks stay in full rage; Striking with quarrels so long past, I had hoped she had forgotten. That this pain may end at last. But no, her memory persists, And I'm tortured like the Begotten. To think this started with a kiss.
