Honest
I hide behind witty replies.
To distract from the heartbreak which resides.
I have given all I can give.
Without the need for replies.
Alone, I’m burnt.
Why did I go through the fire? Only to get hurt.
Nobody came for me, is this my just deserts?.
Second guesses up to umpteen.
As I curse, “Ouch! that hurts.”
Wish I was keeping a secret, so I could come clean.
I’m sitting here anxiously, fluctuating mindfully.
As I unravel at the seams slowly being crushed by a wooden beam, trying not to take it personally.
