Faux pas

I bought Henry the Fourth dinner, but my expectation being too great, it did not please him. I drank a pot or two and parted. A cat with one eye was going my way. “Strange fellow, tell me, how is the king now?”

With You

Can I tell you something? You mean the world to me, You're never off my mind, I love you for everything you let me know, And everything I'm yet to ask. I love how you look when I speak, How you hear the words I say, How you think and then respond, How you treat me like an equal. I love how you joke with me, You talk with, not to me, You answer no matter how strange- I ask a lot of strange- I want to meet your family, Want you to meet mine, Want to see you eating dinner

Un/Familiar

i tried returning home today but by the time i made it up that beaten path and through the rocky driveway and past the old broken gate another family sat at my table eating dinner it'd taken me so long to go back that my home stopped wondering where i'd been
