The Window

It's almost like torture A feeling that I can't escape And it's only getting harder Have I really made a mistake? Staring through the window Drooling at the pretty toy I see But I just don't have the money I have to have it, it has to be for me! And yet I see someone else Through the glass with a gleam in their eyes I refuse to let them have it They can't take what is mine! And as I pound on the glass Oblivious to my demands They take the toy away from me How dare they mock me so!

Burn and Crash / Shattered Pieces

Use me Abuse me As long as you love me I'm yours I'll wait And I'll crash As long as you love me I'm yours I'll cry for you And try for you As long as you love me I'm yours Lately I've been feeling down About the state we're in It's a hill I'll try to climb As long as you love me I'm yours Eat me up and spit me out Say you're sad again Bleed me dry til I run out

Aquarium

A fish's life isn't easy. Look at me. I cannot close my eyes I cannot stop moving I cannot help hearing All that I never wanted to. I do not sleep I do not dream All I know That a few strokes ahead I will kiss the cold reflection of my own self. Thank you, Lord, for this glass cage...

Monocular Views

Turning it inward, the first thing I noticed Was the paleness of the Blue. As I scanned, colours of different hues appeared A bright saffron Red that excited me, Greens, strange, I always felt erotic Browns of barren lands and then The White of the snow-capped hills. I shook the Glass and Viola'! it turned To a Kalaiedoscope. Sparklers and bangle pieces Tinted glass and tiny beads - I shake - And marvel at the myriad of love. Love, in its infinite patterns, Love That I knew, and that I didn't Each design, falling into place So different from the other, so unique!

PROPAGANDA 39

Mortified spectators on iron bridge. Flat rat-a-tats. Lurid whistles hurtled. Craters defeated paths. Glass unhinged. spectatorsFlat whistles paths Glass Spectators intoxicated. Flat ums and ahs. Nightfall whistles, melodious. Vanishing ragged paths. Air-nips turned glass.

are you okay

Inside she's a wreck When you see her she's perfectly fine Deep down her mind is a fucking mess When she's with you she seems happy When she's alone she's fragile like glass. The girl full of hopes and dreams She wants to escape her home where she cant sleep peacefully She wants to meet new people, explore the world go on fun road trips She wants to feel happy again And at midnight if you ask her "Are you okay" And she says I'm fine She won't be lying this time

Fragile

Anxiety holds his claws around my neck Feeling my pulse to perfectly manipulate One move is all it takes Happiness once stroke my back Growing older opens an ominous gate Life is a struggle at all stakes Every one of us is fragile like glass Even the ones with 24/7 sass Lower, middle or upper class Glass stays glass Some shatter, others burst In the end we all break

Him

I have taken responsibility for what I've done Loving you without a way to get out An endless sea of misery Questionable decisions we made decorating our colorful past Leaving the comfort of what we were to join what we thought was needed Creating bliss which only lasted a few years The broken hearts mangled by shattered glass and yet I'd go back empty promises and yet I'd go back cracked ribs and yet I'd go back for HIM

Silence

The quiet is an endless street, a street with glass and metal stabbing my very soul, it has left my skull broken, my thoughts left flying, can you hear them, the screaming and the killing thoughts, I was left on this quiet and empty street, never to be heard, never to be spoken with my own real words, only silence lingers , only my thoughts are left and my broken skull, mingled together to create my very quit being.

One may slip and slide when tied to the tendrils of the heart; in the glass ball, every step attains a perfect landing.

By the Puget Sound / By the Salish Sea

It might take fifty years for the waves to turn clear glass cloudy white, unmistakable as platinum blond hair in photos from 1936 when Grandma Dagmar looked like Jean Harlow as she discarded broken milk bottles that I might find and piece together into a ghost or new moon.
