Long Distance

There in the courtyard Spending my time Here in the glaring sun Sat at a table Not really able To tell when the day is done Frankly, it's wild Much like an ocean The waves on the rise Constantly in motion Here I am swimming Hoping to stay Trying real hard not to drift away So here I sit now Sadly alone Watching the clouds go by

The way the moon reflects sunlight is so interesting. How does the moon wait every night for the sun to look at him so he can be noticed, so he can be more dominant, more comfortable. I guess I feel the same way the moon does, when I look at you. How empty I was untill you made me whole. How dull my life was untill you made your reflection.

In the sunshine of my love

Love is like a many-coloured rainbow. Many more shades, many more hues, Than the sky could ever paint. In one end of the spectrum is the love of self The other end eyes never ever can reach. Each shade, each tinge, each glint of light Gleams for each that gave me their love. But, my love, do not ask me how I glow for you. And ask for whom else I do And whether it shines brighter for you. Do not, please, compare Do not, please, ask if I love you more. As the light of my love falls on your beautiful face Drawing light into you like a prism Instead of scattering, you converge Me into a single beam of light

The leftover

Do not look to the future. It needn't necessarily come. The present is now, whether you like it or not. Disbelieve what smart people tell you Past is the only truth. The past is yours, yours alone, Undeniably, unchangeably, Indelible, burned onto your brain, Scarring it forever. On a summer morning Shake it all down on a mat, Lay it on the sun, Warming, Watch it turn brittle,

Gecko

He moved swiftly, through the little gap Between the door ajar and the wall Hiding then, behind the desk, presumably Catching his breath - but soon as I pulled the desk back Like lightning, he took cover behind the pile of papers. I grinned at him, he was young and little, a juvenile, and said - 'Gotcha, my boy' and with a quick brush of the broom Escorted him out into the glaring sun. That was yesterday, that was when I felt I could not stand This suffocating sensation, the revulsion of solitude, Yet shunning company, sans I am, of love and friendship. Now, defeated, depressed and disconsolate, I welcomed him As he skulked in a corner, nodding, licking his chops clean

Rain In My Eyes

When I awake in the morning, Whether the skies be clear or clouded, A smile comes across my face, As I hope to be a ray of sunshine to others, Helping an elderly woman with groceries, A blind man reach his destination, A friend in need, A child find his parents, Never expecting the kind gestures, Speech minimal in response, Uncertain of what to do, The lone word emanating from their mouths is thanks, Not expecting anything in return, I still cling to hope, That another voluntarily does similar for me, Reaching out without my asking,

"Cold" -Eri

Pudding has told us He used to live in a warm world where his fur would reflect the sun's heat That's why it's so bright and stands out. He tells us that earth is too cold So he likes snuggling up on warm things Today he crawled into the hot water heater and got stuck He really Really Really Doesn't like water.

WHO EVEN CARES?

Who even cares that we didn't light up the candles; Who even cares that we're not dining together; Who even cares about a small picture in the corner and on it, a pair of bright eyes looking at us? Who even cares 'bout the unanswered 'Goodbyes'; Who even cares about the unheard 'By your sides'; Who even cares about the shattering sound in each day and of no sign of a worry once it may end? Who even cares that all this only drifts anchored ships apart; Who even cares that it sets the sun faster and faster towards each night? No one cares that it brings a small heart to the verge of capacity and disables its might.

when i look at you

If one of the things you believe in Is that this world's an ugly place You must have never gone Outside at night And stared up into space You haven't felt the way the air changes In the minutes before it rains Or watched the world pass by below Out of the window plane You've never been awake so early That you see the moment the sun starts to rise And you've never laid with your back on the sky But maybe if you've done all this But still don't believe its not true It's because you can't see all the beauty That I see when I look at you

The oldest lovestory

Moon is the most beautiful among all stars, except one oh! that magnificent sun She blushes and hides Whenever he rise He lights up the whole world Searching for her But she is made to be different and lonely This is the world's oldest lovestory Written on the skies How true love is always there And miles apart, Always behind but never beside He brings the day and she rules the night both too comfortable there to leave it beside, twilight brings the messages to them each Because when they meet it causes an eclipse.

Internal Monologue Uprising

Except these people haven't any dominion over you that You don't hand to them yourself, In your misguided attempts at self-parenting A seed cannot water itself, And requires the gentle warming touch of the sun And yet we try to raise ourselves in the shadows Of our own reprisals We are children with no mothers Rushing through a well-lit world with our eyes closed "Open Open Open your eyes!" And the voice of our collective heart remains pleading Just stop running for a moment, Hold your hands out to the void And dare yourself to feel
