PoemShip Cookie Policy

Version 1.1Last updated 9 October 2026

This document explains what cookies PoemShip uses and how you can manage them.

Current version: v1.1, effective 9 October 2026.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a site stores in your browser. They allow the site to remember your actions (for example, your language or logged-in status), collect statistics, or serve ads.

We also use similar technologies: localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels — for convenience, all of them are referred to as "cookies" in this document.

2. Cookies we set

Strictly necessary (always on)

Cookie Purpose Lifetime
token JWT user authentication 100 days
lang Selected interface language 1 year
region Regional settings 1 year
consent_v1 Stores your cookie-consent choice 1 year
pbm_vid Random identifier to enforce the Smart Search allowance (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax; set only upon first Smart Search; not used for analytics or advertising, not shared) 1 year

These cookies are required for the Service to work. Without them you cannot log in or use core features. They do not require consent.

Analytics (consent only)

Cookie / service Purpose Provider
_ga, _ga_* Distinguish users and sessions Google Analytics
_ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad, _ym_visorc Usage statistics, Webvisor session replay Yandex.Metrica

Help us understand how users interact with the Service and improve it.

Ad personalization (consent only)

Cookie Purpose Provider
__gads, __gpi Selecting relevant ads, performance measurement Google AdSense

Google AdSense advertising is shown to everyone — it helps support the Service. If you do not consent to this category (or click "Reject all"), we send AdSense the signal requestNonPersonalizedAds=1: ads still appear, but are not tailored to your interests.

3. Bugsnag

We use Bugsnag for error reporting. It does not set cookies — it performs server-side collection of crash information (URL, error code, User-Agent). Legal basis: legitimate interest (keeping the Service stable). Records are retained for 30 days.

4. How to manage cookies

You can change your choice at any time — the button above (and in the site footer) opens the cookie settings. Analytics scripts (Google Analytics, Yandex.Metrica) load only after you consent. AdSense loads for everyone so ads can be shown; your consent only determines whether those ads are personalized.

You can also block cookies in your browser settings or delete stored cookies. This may affect how some features work.
