i'm only 18

how can a man of only 18 years be so old.

at 17 I felt that my time itself was winding down leaving a greyed out remnant of the universe

vague shadows passing through the ocean, once dreams of the brightest hue, each of them it's not the world that has become grey, but my own eyes

if I am truly as young as they say then why do i run so slowly now, burdened by aches, reminiscent of what feels like a life-time

i grow tired of the grey, filed-down film of life that im only 18 in,

where am I now, and why aren't I in my dreams the dreams I say were never mine at all, but i found them and sought after them with diligence

this time I say was never mine at all, I have to find a way out, I should have my dreams ahead of me i'm only 18
