Still Hoping for Light to Come

The world is in total darkness around me; Nobody even dared to look; Nobody even dared tried To reach out, But I thought to myself And realized ' How could they even see me in the dark? '

They couldn't, I know it very well Because what I'm showing to the world Is nothing but a shell; It's like a mask, Where people would see it, But the thing in here is that, I really want them to see the real me And then I realized ' How could they see me when I'm wearing a mask? '

It seems so hopeless, Seems so dull And boring, But despite all of those, I still hope.

I hope for my valiant Knight To save me and snatch me from the hands of despair. I want him to remove my mask, Kiss me, And fill my body with warmth and happiness. I want him to save me, And set him free But then I realized ' How could he save me when I'm in the dark? Deep into the bottom of a deep hole, Alone, Silent, And Terrified. '

Despite all of those, I still yearn for that light. I stretch out my hand and try to reach up high Hoping that someday, If only I would pray every day, My dreams, Wishes And hopes Will come true.

But then I realized. ' Will it be worth the effort? What if he won't come? '

Despite all of those, The doubts The worries and such, Deep in my heart, Down to the darkest abyss, I still, and secretly Hope that Light will come.
