Ice rink

I've the ugliest ice skates in the state, And I arrived to the rink way too late, It's difficult to weave through the sea of people When they're all wondrously, flawlessly great.

How can I not be bothered when I slip, Though all the others give me a smart tip? I keep spiralling, all's becoming obstacle, How can they think we're both on the same ship?

For them, the ice is ground, while I'm frozen, A porcelain kitsch doll, her cheeks rosen, Some seem to enjoy questioning my wellbeing, Frankly, this is not what I would've chosen.

To give a subtle message to you all -if you're a plume, then I'm a cannonball Which can only remain disguised for a lifetime, But it'll become metal shards during fall.

I, a cannonball, pretend I can skate, I am aware one day I'll meet my fate -honesty has been my enemy since day one, However, my foes don't pass through the gate.
