Jupiter

PuppyRomantic

i want to tell you there's a tenth planet, and i know that catches your attention.

a space explorer who's scared of the stars, and doesn't care for all of the unknown i'd like to show you how sweet stars are the sweet honey, strawberry, and cinnamon the sky is bright and a little bit blinding but you have Jupiter stuck in your eyes.

that space explorer's braver than he thinks i've seen a few planets, i'll hold your hand. never lost if you keep sight of what you want, and i hope you find callisto somewhere in me i'd be happy just to be europa or ganymede. space explorer, with those sweet jupiter eyes

this is a very gushy crush poem for me. NASA discovered what they thought to be a potential tenth planet on my now boyfriends birthday. i wrote this before we were together, basically saying relationships don't always end with hurt and pain, and I'd like to be the one to show him that. the beginning two lines were my way of letting him know this was written for him.
