57% polyester
you told me I'm pretty in this sweater soft basil green, 57 percent polyester i feel something bubble and fester inside
every colour seems to remind me of you and every song, and every second ticking on i wish you could see every colour in me too but my love isn't grown in flower meadows it doesn't bloom when the rain pours down it's heavy, it'll stick to every surface it can and never washes off until it's just too much
my sweet little sweater, 57 percent polyester and i gave more than what i really am to you i want a kiss to just be a kiss and not more a kiss that isn't a sealed scarlet envelope inviting you to the rest of everything i am i just want sweet gentle loving with you where it never has to feel like a competition of who will sink their claws into the other first where your hand is in mine and it stays there without biting or scratching, no hit and run
and i want my words to outweigh my body for my appearance to satisfy your appetite instead of leaving you insatiated and hungry i want me to be enough, with my clothes on and for you to just hold me and nothing else i want you to fall in love with every part of me so i can fall in love too, and not feel scared and so i can finally feel safe with someone please just tell me i'm pretty in my sweater
my boyfriend told me i looked so pretty in my favourite green sweater, which was probably one of the most amazing feelings ever. i'm used to guys not treating me very well, and this poem is about how i hope he always sees me as beautiful in anything, not just dresses and other feminine clothing. also wanting him to treat me properly forever, and to just be happy with me instead of only wanting sex.
