Silence
Morning strayed Like an uncertain stranger on the far horizon, Just shy of dawn. To fleeting to alight, This daylight, So quick to change its course. In its wake, darkness, Whose quiet oppression should hush and fall And force a bow of nature, Slowly silencing her quiet call. To regress and draw the light From every seeing eye, For hours, Such seemingly dead, still, silence Induced upon us.
