Rounds takes the language of property listings, medical questionnaires, and legal notices and applies it to the whole planet. The Earth is "Price Reduced!" and can be split like a flat: rent out half, live on the other. The joke works because the tone stays so flat and official while the thing being sold is absurdly huge. Planet Earth ends up with a street address, a probate court, and a list of previous owners.
The speaker never states a feeling outright, but the deadpan reads as quiet dismay. Everything we love or depend on has been turned into a transaction, and the forms ask us to treat it that way. The medical questions about pacemakers and head injuries hint at how fragile we are, even as we shop. The final warning is the sharpest: humans are "exposed to humanity" and may suffer "fatal halitosis and self-angst." The mood is darkly comic, bureaucratic, and a little unsettling.
