That year was a yellow deck of cards, shuffled dry, a drowned building melted into chartreuse paint, a clock on the tallest building that counted the rock bottom. That year put up a fight, stood sturdy on shining pavement that sad on shattered rocks. That year when bathtubs were filled with herbs for tea to sip after burning my love letters to him. That year a played tears at the backdoor of my guitar. A year that climbed a ladder of missing steps with wide darkness spaces, and grew pale chartreuse-colored sea-flower poems.

Shooting Star

Stars fall too when you walk on the face of the earth. That's the kind of effect you have. It was impossible not to fall for you.

let me tell you my dream vacation... it is when we blow into a dandelion and watch how it tantalizes the wind. it is when we rewind the wildfires and hear the qualms of the trees. it is when we pick up a stone and taste the dust that falls from it. it is when we get drenched in a rain and look for the dried-out leaves. it is when we both be a being and see ourselves unbecoming. it is when I spend time with you no matter what the weather is.

Somehow, a part of me still believes you are my soulmate. That you're just lost, and you'll find your way back to me eventually. ~but how long with that take?

We first met eyes, and I wanted more; To learn the language of his love, To feel the softness of his soul; To see art through his words and hear music through his laugh. I wanted to know him in all the ways that I loved about him already.

'the night doesn't judge when all those unsaid thoughts and piercing words leave us as sour little drops, staining the bed sheet in circles and then in pools.' -maybe that is why so many of us are in love with the night.

Untitled 062

I've built a castle, castle of glass, castle of ice. Some would call it an igloo, I'd say, it melts real slow. If it were for you, I'd hold my all- to prove. Let's love- we don't need nobody's approval. Let's burn the stove, burn our love like chaste teens exploring something spectacular. Hold me accountable, for I am susceptible- to you. So, come on let's fly away, drift away like shooting stars. Around the Orion belt, let's learn how "love" actually spelled. And, when we reach the brightest star, let's shine like two fireflies caught in a jar. For when I'm with you, even years would fade away like hours. Your love, they-- they cannot restrain me from my romantic powers.
