The ruins of your face were twined with youth.
Vines of starlight questioned your face when you smiled.
Your eyes dissolved over distances
And steeped the graves of many loves.
Night was kind to your body:
The careless vehemence of curves
Softened beneath your darkly-loosened dress.
And your heart toyed with an emotion
That left you vague hunger poised over death.
Upon an arched sarcophagus of pain
Are figures painted in arrested embraces
With outlines so light that we must bend close to see:
Old loves almost merging to one tone
Of pale regret that holds
An inner glow of dead weeping.
Our lips cling and our breath winds to a hand
With touch like summer rain
Blending the arrested figures upon the arched sarcophagus of pain.
I HAVE love
And a child,
A banjo
And shadows.
(Losses of God,
All will go
And one day
We will hold
Only the shadows.)
Everyday you'd tell me I'm beautiful,
You'd tell me my eyes are beautiful
Like no one else's, but they're just brown I'd reply.
Your face is pure and bright you'd say,
But my face wasn't beautiful it was dull.
Your smile lights up my day
What a cheesy thing to say but your words meant felt like a sugary topping to my day,
Your body is beautiful to me,
I don't like my body but you made me feel like a goddess.
You made me confident in myself until you crushed me down.
She waited for him to meet
He never met
She waited for him to talk
He never spoke
She waited for him to text
He never did
She waited for him to love
He never cared
She got tired and walked away
He now waits .
months have come
and
gone
and
still, her eyes haunt my dreams
her words' breath still lingers against my ears
the ghost of her lips grazing my skin
its been months
and months
and still, my heart breaks at the memory of her
Sometimes jaded, sometimes tranquil,
Your eyes invade the tumult of your face.
Your lips are the remnants of a love
That made a sunset-cup of your face.
The movements of your body
Caress the couch you sit on into sound
That seems to answer your words.
You are restless because upon this couch
The cold touch of your lover lies
And seeps into you, reaching your heart.
One man killed another. The saying between them
had been " I'd give you the shirt off my back."
The killer wept over the dead. The dead if he looks
back knows the killer was sorry. It was a shot
in one second of hate out of ten years of love.
Why is the sun a red ball in the six o'clock mist?
Why is the moon a tumbling chimney ? . . . tumbling
. . . tumbling . . . " I'd give you the shirt off
my back" . . . And I'll kill you if my head
goes wrong.
This morning paper
is raw theater—
love in a maze
of strange straits.
A peace made
upon good terms
is news.
Each of us lives
but is ashamed to be,
resolving to see
pleasure fall.
Loving you and knowing, you won’t, hurts
Crying deep within, but a broad smile on the face, hurts
Not being a part of the special day, hurts
Wishing for your happiness, at the cost of my tears, hurts
Looking into the wall to find you with the others, hurts
More than a decade, but breaking heart in 10 seconds, hurts
Realization of not being a part of your life, hurts
Not able to share the feelings, hurts
You being like others, who left, hurts
You not choosing me, hurts
Moreover, it hurts that these things are not even half of what the mind feels!
I did my best to love you,
Though I have
Anxiety,
Over think,
Depression,
Sensitive,
Ugly,
Mental breakdown,
I'm sorry I messed up...
Cause I involved you,
Into my miserable life.
I said "Okay."
Thought I wanted attentions,
Your time,
Your cuddles,
Your hugs,
Your calls,
Your voices,
Your texts,
Your words,
Your I love you.
I'm okay.
