I am questioning if the world I knew before was the same I see now.
The world full of disappointment and fake happiness.
The unhappy endings and the lying ways of our human race.
Oh, how do the youth eyes fade so fast.
One day you see the loving eyes of big, lumpy talking animals,
And the next you see the ways they talk to them as if they were stupid.
You can remember the glass full of a chocolate milkshake,
and be over the moon happy that it is all yours.
Now, all we see is a heart attack in a bottle that might never happen.
Young people never think of what might happen.
They only think of what’s happening now.
Is that a problem with growing up?
Becoming an adult is supposed to happen.
So tell me
How am I supposed to breathe with no air
It feels like someone stole my lungs
It feels like I'm drowning in fire
Even my tears burn
I'm a mess
A perfect tragedy
A blemish
It feels like I was only placed on this earth
For the bad
Hello my name is reckless
My specialty is destruction
And my orientation is damage
When will I ever be good enough.
My weary, dreary
feet walk slowly up the stairs
as I trudge on home.
Where has the rain gone?
The only thing falling here
is me, on my bed.
Depression is pain.
You're hurting.
You're hurting so bad... So you scream.
You scream so loud.
You scream louder than ever before.
So loud your lungs burn...
But no one hears you.
No one listens to your cries for help.
People pass by.
You beg and plead,
"HELP ME?"
But they never even glance in your direction.
So you suffer.
You suffer by yourself.
Suffer in silence.
Alone in darkness.
You don't see the way it hurts me when he says he loves you.
You don't feel the way my heart aches when you speak of his kiss.
You don't know the tears that flow from my eyes are because you love another.
You simply do not know that I love you.
You don't need to know, though, because you love another.
You don't need to get over him; I need to get over you.
You don't need the love I long to show you.
You don't need me like I need you.
You don't need my love. You are my best friend.
That moment when charades becomes a lifestyle because you can't voice your opinion
When you keep glasses on so no one knows who you are
Physical mental emotional scars
People guess and try to figure out what your doing because you can't say
It's like being a mime
Your face painted walking through the hall of your school
You don't get all of attention because you're not "cool"
And when people see you they see "that freak" from school
Your grouped with the "different" kids
The one who wears all the black
The one who's an Attention Seeker
Just because he can't actually be a Speaker
It's all apart of the game though
And so you're told
When deep down you know
I am a person with a mask,
And my emotions are hid,
I am a person with nothing,
A chained heartful meaning,
I am a person without end,
For my hide and seek abides,
I am a person without light,
The darkness behind my mask,
I am a person with thoughts,
That people'll no longer conceive,
I am a person with pride,
A foolish, contradicting pride,
I am a person without hope,
Of ever being understood,
I am a person without sanity,
My voice can only be heard,
Some don't want to be found,
Hiding in cliché cupboards,
With no way out themselves,
And their inner wolves go on howling,
Some want to be found,
With their pride and soul attached,
And within dark, cold shadows,
With one light for support,
Some want to just end,
With all their blood spills,
Flooding the ground 'round them,
And a note to say their curses,
Some want to live,
So they shone their S.O.S.
With their eyes pleading,
In mercy and awful blue tears,
Before I died and ceased to exist,
I used to be alone in the snow,
No one would realise my existence,
Nor would they try to,
It was my sad life that I hated,
Because it was so cold and isolated,
But even my efforts to change,
Were useless and were in vain,
I had swung on the lowly swing,
That was only held by old rope,
Tied to a lonesome tree,
Planted in the middle of nowhere,
I had always watched from afar,
The playful children that laughed,
Played and sang in joy,
I couldn't help the jealousy in my heart,
Will you listen?
If I told you about my life,
Would you listen?
Would you hear the tide?
Of despair and stress?
Would you hear me?
My desperate cries,
And my desperate pleas?
Of a horrifying and trapped life?
If I told you, would you leave before I finished?
Would you notice?
The parts of my life that was dimished?
If I was crying, would you hear?
If I was yelling, would you be here?
If I had dreams, would you see it?
If I had accomplishments, would you cheer?
I try to get through today
I don't care for tomorrow
It can run away from me
Along with the light
It's heavy, you know
Today is heavy
Today becomes yesterday
Along with every other day
Then that's life
It swallows me whole
At the end of today
The next today comes
And I don't care for tomorrow
