It is the deliberate
act of folding
oneself,
pressing the creases,
to fit into
the cracks of his heart.
It is the holy
act of praying
that if you stay long enough,
the flesh will hold you
together.
It is
hoping he will keep you,
and it is dangerous.
Darling, people are
not glue.
The last two days have been a family.
Like a father and his son.
The father quickly went in passing,
The child blinked and it was done.
The next two days will be a memory.
A reflection in a stream.
A haunted winter forest,
In a half-forgotten dream.
These two days have been a green light,
Right before my clouded eyes.
Gone after I’d noticed.
From perfection to goodbye.
These two days have one another.
These two days,
These two days.
We no longer have each other.
With a smiling face
the toddler mimics
that cancer cough
slated to have his father
dead by next month
and, although the father
insists that his wife
stop trying to stop
the child, he storms away
with the intent
to make her feel guilty
for letting it happen.
Now the days have come
where i find myself thinking about you momentarily
i wont say you have been completely erase from my time span or long term memory
but there are times where happy moments of us replays
and i'm grateful
you were able to share those ones with me
to our forever that never happened
i hope the days to come
we'll never meet again
when can it come a day
where i stop thinking about you
fully
when i stop the thoughts of you flooding my mind
how is it you're so far but
so close to me in a second of
thinking about you
should i carry on to hurt myself
because of the smiles i have when those thoughts linger for too long
or should i stop this crisis and feel the sadness overwhelm me for days
to come eventually leaving me lonely
He was my safe place
but i made him leave
i blame myself for the time that come when i fail to live
because he was my reason to try
As the sun dies down
My love dies down with it
showing me that all beautiful things
eventually dies
but brings something new into being
Got dressed waiting for him to call
he didn't
the letter on the table
it wasn't him
contemplating about what he's doing
loving her
maybe i should stop hoping thats he's gonna come back
what is my confession
the feeling of hope lingers
it was love,wasn't it
the touches , it was love
the kisses , it was love
the holds , it was love
the tears, it was love
but it wasn't enough
not enough, was it?
and he walked away like it was the easiest thing to do
showed that it wasn't love but infatuation
There are people around me,
Still, it’s lonely, like the sea.
The room’s crowded, walls are white,
Noises everywhere, still it’s quiet.
Fake smiles, rigged talk,
Nowadays, alone I walk.
In every town, there is a statue.
They are usually of a man or women,
Showing off their big accomplishment.
They look and admire,
But often not spoken.
If they are around it,
They say,
“Oh hey, there you are.”
And they continue talking
About themselves.
Only tour groups or neighbors visiting,
Talk about the statue.
They comment about their life and say why they helped them.
Humans seem to always dome back to themselves,
Even if someone else needs more.
They enjoy the statues company,
One regret,
One day way back.
That one day, I won’t soon forget.
One day at school
All was normal and fine,
But one sat all alone.
So I went over
Cause he was a friend.
I asked him what was wrong.
He was feeling bad and sick come to found out.
I wanted to help,
But he said,”No thanks.”
So, I left.
I look back, and realize
That I should have stayed with him.
Because he was a friend.
