anxiety

I feel the heat in my face The pounding of my heart The tightness in my chest The motion of my leg The shaking of my hand And the low self worth May I go to the restroom please? Before I pass out on this floor

lip picker

My eyes arent actually seeing My brain isnt actually thinking Its not enacting any movement knowingly But my fingers are hard at work Peeling at my mouth Pulling away translucent white and pink pieces As my lips bleed Ignoring my feelings Hiding my issues with the feeling Feeling my heartbeat in my exposed wound of my top lip Feeling the sting of the contact While my brain is floating in space That's why I'm a lip picker Maybe itll help

thoughts

I dont like to think My thoughts always turn From one thing To the next To the next Thinking is hard for me now I cant think without having trouble breathing Or without a knot in my stomach A tightness in my heart A pain in my head It showing through my art I can't think anymore But I cant stop I sleep to not think But they invade my dreams I eat to distract

contradictory

I'm tired, But I can't sleep. I'm hungry, But feel nauseous when I eat. I'm not happy, But I'm not necessarily sad. I want to leave, But I stay. I want to breathe, But the weight on my chest remains. I want to be genuine, But it's easier to put up a facade. Why is everything I think, And everything I do, So contradictory?

Secure

I secure my insecurities, in a metal box I secure my insecurities, boy there are a lot I secure my insecurities, with a lock and key I secure my insecurities, so they won't bother me I trap my feelings, deep inside I trap my feelings, were you'll never find I trap my feelings, behind a smiley wall I trap my feelings, but it soon must fall I imprison my memories, behind a wall of bricks I imprison my memories, hold them back very strict I imprison my memories, for they are dark and dim I imprison my memories, to protect me from them

Poem #6: The Crow

The crow mocks me It follows me home It’s all that I see And I’m never alone It haunts my shadows It tears my flesh Its cries ring through me And I’m a mess The crow it mocks me It leaves me here The crow it mocks me I’m dying of fear

Poem #4: Again

The sharp pain is good Distractions Again Red flows, my hands stained Pain helps Again Another tally on my hip Punishment Again Pain becomes worse, it starts to hurt Another mark Again The scar tissue is scratched away Pain Again I want to stop, I cannot

Poem #22: Cage

I’m in a cage, Back against the wall, Squeezed in a box, Feet on the side, I’m suffocating slowly, No one notices, I’m trapped in a cage, A freak on the show, For the demons in my mind, And still no one knows
