BomberJacknut's "And Yet" is a list of confessions. In the first three stanzas, the speaker piles up harsh labels: broken, anxious, envious, hateful, unstable, foolish. They admit to lying, crying, and feeling disgusted whenever they look at themselves. The short, blunt lines and tight rhymes make it feel like someone running through their worst thoughts without stopping to soften any of them.
What turns it around is the refrain. After each pile of self-criticism comes "And yet, I keep going," a small but stubborn answer. In the last stanza, the speaker admits they are flawed and have been for a long time, but refuses to let that define them or turn their life into a "sham." The final line changes "And yet" to "And so," which suggests that continuing is no longer just survival but a choice. The mood begins heavy and self-punishing, then settles into quiet, hard-won determination rather than easy cheerfulness.
