Inertia

This noise of never a violent rose by the door. I am hurt with looking. I hope to die in place like a better mouth.

Door

A haze of jewelweed sprouts, the dimpled embryonic leaves like conjoined twins. From the valley, the sound of horses pulling a buggy in their eight steel shoes. The crooked sassafras— something has found under its bark a blood-colored door.

* * *

Pain cuts like a knife, Hard for me to breathe. Knowing what happen, Enable to believe. Losing almost everything, When he walked out the door. Heart shattered to pieces, Smashing to the floor. Picking myself up, After laying on the tile. Overcome with hatred. Feeling so vile. Thoughts racing fast, Zooming right by. Many points in my life, I wanted to die.

red rose

A bright morning I opened my door Didn't found anyone But just a red rose Very lonely and alone I took it to my room Wondering who kept it there Assuming the colour Dark red Red as blood Deep as ocean Gentle as touch Pure as love It doesn't matter who kept it Only matters was love May be a day will come

Anxiety

i can hear them on the other side of the door laughing and shouting about our blind, deaf, dumb dog and the blasting tv and the open window letting in the rain and the food still clinging to the "clean" plates i think it's beautiful i think maybe there's a spot on that couch where i can pet that blind, deaf, dumb dog and maybe i can get away with yelling about stuff too but not doing it i think maybe they're already happy i think maybe one more person is just a crowd i think maybe i'll just shut my door all the way and count the bumps in my popcorn ceiling

Cavity

with trembling hands, i cover my eyes but not my ears so i can hear his footsteps as he stomps through the halls. i wince as he bumps into the table and its squeak assaults my ears. i choke down a sob as he grumbles drunkenly. stupid woman, moving my fucking crap. stupid woman, spending all my damn money. stupid woman, not waiting for me. i forget to breathe, heart sinking as he stops at my door. i force myself to groan and roll over as though i'm asleep, struggling to breathe as the air grows thick and heavy. i swallow the burn in my throat as he pats my knee.

Sadism, Backwards

I see you, but I won't look You just mean business You're by the book And I know your reasons To keep on coming by But keep it to yourself I don't want to decide, no You're just a noise Just some more static on my screen And if I listened, and I won't I'd have to make a scene It's just so hard to keep it still and keep myself at bay And though I really want to, I'll need you to go away I've paid off my problems, lord knows what I had to give So why won't you just leave me be and let me live? Why do you stay? You just keep knocking on my door

Part I-Don't play

I was hoping you would never change But you were already on the other side of the page The perfect sky is grey You left me alone the 19th of May I was already broken but what did you do? This is reality no one will fight for you The truth is I'm not afraid of losing you anymore "I'm done "you said then ran out the door. These clothes I wear to make you jealous Because of you, I became rebellious My friends kept telling me "it's not worth it" On that same day we promised we'd never quit.

hiding away in dreamland

the bedroom door stays locked my thoughts wedged under the handle blocking anyone from seeing what is on the inside the walls are painted the darkest black and is completely bare of furniture demons hide under the creaking floorboards every night I take out a silver blade from a special place and for the moments that my skin is a deep red the room lights up a bright shade of yellow and then the shame sets in and the darkness returns but if I try hard enough to not let the red come back the yellow will gradually creep back onto the walls and eventually the door will unlock letting me out of my caged hell

Inside This Mansion

I missed my alarms and slept in, I have had people in dreams, The friendly kind, but weird they existed, I would rather keep my mind shut, Than open the doors to my home My mind is my mansion, It only becomes a home when I walk in, Open the doors, “Give them you heart and trust” Excuse me what did you say? My heart and trust? The purse and luxury is their pursuit, Not my heart and trust, The walls protecting my mansion are high up, I would like to keep that way, Is it me or the fear talking?

Loneliness

a boy and a girl walked out a room in silence they walked down the stairs to the door in silence they went out and went separate ways it is at this moment the boy said out loud "I wish people would just talk to me" little did he know, 20 metres back a certain girl said just that

There He Goes

That was it. The end had come. The time to depart drew near. As she sits on the couch Waiting Watching Not knowing what to think. Then he pulled up. Like a fairytale gone wrong. The story of a couple so strong Lost forever in a memory He walks up to the door. She opens it up. Standing there trying not to cry. The day she feared was here. As the door opened she ran to him.
