Throw me out like last night's empty bottle
There must be an abundance of perfect girls in this world
You said I was
And now she is too?
You want to forget about me?
Sure, go ahead
I guess I wasn't worth your time anyway
You said we'd be Forever
Forever seems to have been severed by
A dagger fashioned of ice
You want to stab me in the back?
Sure, go ahead.
The sparrow and the raven
Two star crossed lovers
The optimist and the bitter pessimist
Together forever
But these birds
We're not of a feather
They said "let's defy fate"
And ran away together
Suddenly the sparrow is struck
By a devious thought
"Raven, I'm simply not feeling it anymore"
Their love fell like stars from the sky
The raven is overcome by woe
Pulls out his ebony feathers
Screams "I'll never love again"
Falls like a star from the sky
She, the Demon, the one who could never love or be loved.
He, the Anarchist, living in the depths of Hell itself.
An unlikely pair.
She met him by chance on a rainy day.
He had known her for centuries.
It was cold. Dreadfully so, and she was the only one who didn't seem to mind.
A crowded subway.
He fell into her, or could it be he was pushed? No matter.
Troubled eyes meet bleak orbs and something is exchanged.
A spark, the briefest flutter of hope.
Three days later he was hit by a train.
She turned to booze to mask the pain.
She now loves every man she comes across.
He watches quietly from a cloud.
His silent tears water the roses that now cover his grave.
She gives more of herself away each day.
He imagines the darkness to keep his own mind at bay
She'd give anything to know the definition of joy, just for a day
Seperate these two souls can't find peace
As one they are a distraction at the least
Tell me how darkness can fight the night of a different kind
Tell me why to sunsets this young girl is blind
Tell me a story both beautiful and sad
Tell me of knights and death and the life you once had
Tell me that you love me
No matter how unwhole
Tell me that you need me
With every fiber in your soul
Tell me worthless sweet nothings
Tell me of love, gained and lost
Tell me why sorrow appears in your eyes
When we kiss
Love
As well as joy
Is merely but a fleeting illusion
You catch a glimpse of it
A flicker of movement in the corner of your eye
You turn quickly
So as to catch it
And cling dearly to it
In order to soar high above the clouds
Though only for a short time
Because one must come down from all highs
Falling hopelessly
But
It's not always a direct freefall
Sometimes you float slowly down
The depression creeps ever so quietly back into your soul
I watch his musician's hands
Waiting
Hoping
Praying
That someday
Those pianist's fingers
Shall be entwined with my own
To someday call the pianist mine
Is but a fond dream
I long for the sensation of his fingertips playing a song on my skin
Alas
To the pianist
I am invisible, merely a face
I mean nothing
I always have
And I fear I always will
Don't call me beautiful
Until you have seen the scars that caress my body
Put there by my own hand
Until you have seen the bruises on my stomach from pinching the loose skin there
Because I'm not satisfied with my body
Until you have seen the way my hair looks in the mornings
Before I spend what seems like years fixing it.
But
If you can kiss my scars and love me anyway
Because everyone makes mistakes
If you can hug me around the waist from behind
In that way that gives me chills
If you can tangle your fingers in my hair when we wake up
Our bodies pulled close together
Maybe
Maybe then I will believe you
I didn't say it -shuts lip.
It never happened- forget it.
I didn't speak, you didn't hear, the three words we want- so near.
You know I really like you, and you're obsessed with me.
But take some time, and this rhyme, to get how crazy 'us' can be.
This could really end quite badly.
This could tear us both in two. But the thing you see, so obviously, is you need me. I need you.
Lets just take a moment, lets not start the tears.
Lets not put fuel to fire- we knew this was always going to be near.
Thing is I can't stop saying, can't stop running through my head
Your smile, your laugh, your dreams, your arms- laying me down to rest.
I want to snuggle in your breath.
I'm warm with you, best guest.
Oh, my beautiful October
I wish to embrace your morning
I shall take a walk
Though I may catch a chill.
I trudge through the fields
In the Surrey countryside
Walking Gip and Meg
As the sun reaches its height.
I satnd on top of Box hill
Whilst the dogs sniff for a rabbit
Could it be that this is where I last saw you?
My dearest October Morning.
This is where we said "Hello"
And this is where we said "Goodbye"
This is where you made my heart complete
And this is where you broke it.
Back to the page
Is what I say
Back with the pain
I gave away to gain
My happiness
Which is starting to fade
So I stay away
From those who come to play
Starting to feel the pain
I cannot run away
Can you save me?
Can you love me?
No...
I'm the one who faded
Now you feel the pain
Until you come my way...
I'm sorry my dear love...
I just can't choose a decision...
I'm not ready to uplift your name...
I must let go of our chronicles...
But your fragile ceramic skin...
Just so plain and so breakable...
I can't stand watching you being tormented...
Shattering down all the things you enjoy the most...
But I'm just not inexplicably ready...
Nor sure of my compassionate decisions...
There's one thing that's pulling me away...
Love it is, but so uncertain, so faded to perceive...
I don't want to pick up the shattered pieces I made...
Because it's nearly impossible...
For me to salvage without getting hurt...
It's just so hard to let go...
In the fault line where my vunerability gives to take
Where no crevice is left as my remedy
Will you be my snowflake...
And fall for me ?
