comparison

everyone has been hurt before they keep their bruises hidden under their skin coat nobody stops to think about the bruises under their skin until the sun sinks below the windowsill some people have deep gashes covered by their bodies the knife was driven through but didn't pierce any skin so why did it hurt so bad? how come every time they open their eyes they would rather staple them shut then get up and face the day?

Find a way

Trying to find a way That will make me feel the same When i was younger and my mind Wasn't overhelmed by pain Emotions are drifting in my head Trying to forget old wounds in my heart Make me feel the same When i was younger happier man.

nothing

Sometimes yes it is hard to deal With things you have Absolutely no control Over But It will get over Nothing lasts forever Nor us Nor happiness Nor pain

Rain

Whenever I miss you, It always rains.. Perhaps to help me, Hide my pain.. Just like you used to, Pat my back.. Telling me I did ok, Even if I failed.. It's getting hard, I want to come back.. I met many people, But no one like you Dad..

English Class

Harper Lee displays a blah blah blah blah blah... My body hurts. It hurts. My head My body My mind. I'm tired And hungry But I can't eat Eating makes me sick. Can I go home? No. No. NO. My family will ask Why?

Before the fall

Pain Like rust You confused it for salt It felt as intense as pleasure Joy Like oil You confused for molasses It felt like a balm to all your wounds Love Like fire You confused it for candlelight It felt like you could blow it out

The sound of suffering

Agitation climbs the rungs of my spine My legs twisted in all angles Knees and elbows bend over time Dig my nails in the ground As I mourn what was mine Blood rushing my ears As I don't make a sound

learning

you taught me that love can be an amazing and beautiful thing but you also taught me that love will keep you up till midnight crying softly to yourself, wondering how much more pain someone can endure

The Walls

The Walls are shedding They dispose of the lies and tears The "no's" and the "you can't"s Everything they've seen Everything they've been a part of I wish they could speak up Because only The Walls know me They were there for every broken heart Every time I thought I couldn't go on I still question even that The Walls are melting They can no longer withstand the pain The pain that I feel everyday As I struggle to sleep at night And stay awake during the day The Walls are gone

Walking on a Rainy Day

I'm walking down the street Heading to a far away area Trying to relieve the pain My tears mixed with the rain You can't heal something when You haven't cleansed it fully out. I felt cleaned and refreshed. I kept walking down the street And I didn't give in to the pain.

Two Who Don't Know They Are Joined in This Poem

I wanted to go into the sun where it was warm and could be warm inside too, your face is the same and not. You told me to the music of the gaunt men playing ball and the women walking slowly and the monkey hanging from the old tree You told me You were born with crooked legs sleeping in braces and always straight, that later you couldn't sleep any other way, the blood the pain and no climax and no climax, what do you call it you said never reaching orgasm. I thought of the blame of your parents which is the blame of society
