Silence

The quiet is an endless street, a street with glass and metal stabbing my very soul, it has left my skull broken, my thoughts left flying, can you hear them, the screaming and the killing thoughts, I was left on this quiet and empty street, never to be heard, never to be spoken with my own real words, only silence lingers , only my thoughts are left and my broken skull, mingled together to create my very quit being.

Loneliness

a boy and a girl walked out a room in silence they walked down the stairs to the door in silence they went out and went separate ways it is at this moment the boy said out loud "I wish people would just talk to me" little did he know, 20 metres back a certain girl said just that

Silence

Do you remember? The way you talk to me The way I talk to you Only our minds know Never did we say anything The way we look at each other The way we send each other a sign Only our hearts know I tried to grant a wish The way I would only know The way you would know Only that is what became of our silence

Yellow

Your hands are cold Ice water That's a nice thought I walk And I walk Till my feet start to rot Decompose with the soil You lay 'Barren' about Press my hands to the ground You stopped caring about I think I think I can't I can't tell if you stopped caring Cuz where you went I can't hear you now

Betrayal

It tastes like copper And I bite my lip Just to check for my blood type Of course. It looks like the darkest cavern And I close my eyes Just to compare shades of black Of course. It sounds like chaos And I suffer in silence Just to notice how quieter it would be Of course It feels like all three And I scream and I scream and I scream for help Just to hear the sound of my own voice Of course.

The Slightest Change In Ambient Sound

If I listened closely enough I could hear him coming, I could feel his drunken anger in those moments when He was swaying between seething and swinging But it was the moments when the world was completely silent That I learned to fear the most

Scars

The scars cover my body Not a single blank space left They keep ripping themselves open I scream for help But no one else can see them The half empty bottle of water sits just an inch away No matter how far I reach, I am not close enough My throat is starting to fall apart The pieces lying scattered about me like I'm some sort of broken porcelain doll I have tried my best here But my best isn't good enough for you You, who have taken things from me You, who took the thoughts from my mind And the words from my mouth Now I find myself, dehydrated and bleeding, waiting for you You took and yet I still expect you to give

Loretta's Monday

She glides In grey and worn red Alone in her height and With her silence Untouched Touching me. So old in her smile, Defined for years by A confectionary fall By the open wound now Of a sister Her world Where I have separated bangs And my name is Judy.

Night Lines in Sun

where the turns of your rocks despoil the sea weary with that mating you lie dulled by separation with your face lined tentative not from age but squinting at the sun mountain your glance is nondescript for I cannot spell your silence nor will I match my gestures dumb to yours when motion is patient and I must be in my seeking

Take 3/16/61

there is a loaf of datenut bread on the table, wrapped in waxed paper, a rubber band around it. a fat man comes in & out of the back room in his shorts. the silence is noticiable. i mean, to one who has lived for four yrs in apartments facing on a courtyard where they shout day & night, the silence is noticeable. the children i am watching are asleep, the doorbell will ring any minute, i skim along, typing a libretto by kenneth koch; avoiding detailed observation of my emotional state (sic), the i ching says that the superior man knows the changes

and sometimes what the world needs is a bit of silence to remind society what monsters we've become
