There is a weight on my chest
Preventing me to breathe
Without pain.
I live in a bubble
To avoid anything new.
The bubble breaks,
Then I break too.
I stay in the bubble,
So I don't get hurt
So my heart isn't broken,
Or thrown into the dirt.
I remain in the bubble.
I stay here alone.
And when another person is hurt,
A new bubble is blown.
I don't see the danger in talking to a stranger
only in knowing their name
After the greeting there could be a meeting
and so begins the pain
Once you know them and they know you
it's hard to let them go
If this person would die, then you might cry
hide away from wanting to know -
OTHERS because you're scared
scared they won't be there when
you fall
Is it better to be alone than to have someone ring your phone and say "I won't be back" without a care?
"I've chosen a new path."
Without a care!
It's a game of Russian roulette
sooner or later someone will lose
I don't know who you are
But you can have my battle scars
erase them from my skin
erase them from within
I don't know who I amBut I won't touch the sky again
Take me to a better place
Take me to a friendly face
I need to know that someone cares
I must ignore the laughs and stares
To be free as a butterfly
To be free to cry
Tears seem to evade me Hoping a higher power saves me
So that my ducts can sigh again
So I can grieve my broken friend
Cut a slice of her cake
there's no sugar
JUST
A bitter aftertaste
She craves sweetness
But no one offers
Instead she suffers
Choking on aspartame
it is lonely here
with no friends near
no friends
friends?
i am by myself
with no one else
no one
no?
i contemplate times
that had silly rhymes
i miss them so
where did they go?
it is lonely here
because i'm alone
i'm alone
alone.
Ghost girl floating by
I swear no one eles can see
So alone, I sit with her
Do you want to talk
Who are you
What do you need
Can I help you
Can I stay
I'll talk i whisper back
Alone we sat as others pass
Crosses repel but tight I hold
To the ghost girl
Who are you
What do you need
Can I help you
Can you stay
She was conceived in a mind so full of pain
Now its the only thing that nurtures her
I labored with her silently, while others screamed their anger
So its the only way she knows
Her feathery black hair
And soulless eyes
Stand out as I hold her close
I feed her my blood because she is mine
I forget she is there as she stays silent all day
but screeches in the night to remind me
I feed her my pain to silence her
She grows and grows
She holds on my shirt, using my body to protect her
During school she begs for my attention
At the store she wants more of my pain
While with my friends she weighs me down
When home feels like another planet
From the one you knew before
Trees sway in the wrong colors;
As you walk in through the door
When “Family” are Aliens
Not the ghosts who haunt your memories
As they say hi you smile wide
The best fake, you believe remedies
When you hand doesn't fit
Into the impression left behind
You know how much you’ve grown
And just how much you mind
When things aren't how they used to be
Or how they should be now
You let a tear trace your face
And look towards where life takes you
Your tide pool eyes stared deep into the ocean of my soul
bringing peace to unsettled cracks inside
You were small enough to fit on one arm
You had the world at your tiny feet
You deserved so much more than I could give
I promised you I'd try
All because you brought me so much joy
You were always my little reason why
Your fragile body shook with sobs
I held you close telling you you're safe
Landmines of broken glass lay around us
You didn't deserve the pain
I tried to keep you safe
I promised I'd protect you
That's my little reason why
I turned my back, just for a second
In the dark of the night
When no one can hear my cries
I cut at my skin
I wipe at my eyes
In the dark of the night
I write out my will
Tears staining the ink
As I write what I feel
In the dark of the night
I feel so alone
Everyone’s around me
But nobodies home
In the dark of the night
Away from the world
I’m only one person
I’m only one girl
Lucky me,
I get to sit here and watch everyone I love die,
My mother,
My grandmother,
Me.
Lucky me,
I get to sit here and watch people fall apart
Lucky me,
I get to sit here and die with them
