I fell from a beautiful rose,
Then you held me within your arms,
They were warm.
As you put me down,
I didn't want to let go.
Then you were gone
And from this day
I am still falling
Nights of being unable to assuage
the mental cacophony of self-doubt
Writing morose poetry to pass the time
Until it's my own time
The viola
And thimbles and books
An overworked mother
An uncaring, drunk father
Twisted highs of euphoria to
Lugubrious lows of dysphoria
The gallows at which
Joy and Sanity were hanged
My asinine ramblings
And my despondent silence
I feel feeling
Slipping away.
Sensation
Dripping down the drain.
Lidocaine syringes flash into my mind
Numbing me
But instead of my wounds
It's me.
I lie awake, lethargic
And too tired to do anything
Or to fall asleep.
But I long to run through the fields, the forests,
The vivid swamps and beautiful marshes.
Wildflowers dancing in meadows, and
Insects—damselflies, moths, and mosquitos—
Flying like shooting stars.
I wish I could keep my room tidy
That way you'd think of me not simply rotting
When you come for my things.
You'll never know, though,
How much time I spent gazing into the dark
With not a single
thought.
Midnight light not illuminating the limbo of my room.
My prison and my paradise
No senses other than hearing the faint cacophony of crickets outdoors.
I didn't know if I had hands
A body.
Maybe I don't want to.
Maybe I never did.
And in the emptiness of here
Please think of me
Entombed in my
Melancholia,
I lie
I lie in wait
For the blossoming
Jonquils
And singing starlings
To raise me from my tomb
As my tears
Flood my crypt
I am a brief and passing thing
The piece of you I keep inside of me is tearing me apart
I feel like a doll soaked in blood and trapped in shade
We always will stay in lugubrious nihilism
That's really all we can do at this twisted point
But we can form wings of optimistic, nihilistic joys
Epicurean skies
We throw our hands from our bodies, into the air
To try to reach the skies
And dance around bleeding out
And now I lose weeks
And days
And I sit in a gunned thorn bush
Preparing to be shipped
Away by others
When you've been alone for long enough
i dont want to wake up
start thinking and stay up,
open my eyes and get lost,
dry up my tears and be locked,
stay positive and look up,
be self aware and give up,
I just want to go back...
I dont want to wake up.
No, you don't have to laugh,
You don't have to know...
I won't make you smile,
Not if you don't want...
I see that you're hurt,
I see that you know...
You do want to smile,
But you're afraid to...
I will cry with you,
Like she did before...
You're afraid I know,
To say it out loud...
You don't want it yet,
And that is still fine...
I don't fault you now,
It truly was rough...
I see the way, that I have hurt you.
I see the way, how I didn't love you.
I see the way, where I have lost us.
If only I could earn your forgiveness...
I'll tell our sister, that she's precious.
I'll tell our mother, how we love her.
I'll tell our father, that he's enough.
And I'll tell myself how sorry I am...
It's so painful,
Leaving my web of protection and warmth,
and going into a foreign land
That only comes with darkness in the dense woods.
But much to my dismay, I must leave.
Just like a spider leaves it's web when necessary.
Tears as an expression of a form of love so pure,
That they do not want to be seen.
Only the ones that have been brought up with warmth and love withhold it.
It is not to be spoken of; for it fears to be expressed,
Because it is a weakness that none would like to showcase.
Halloween. The night of the pumpkins, ghosts and vampires.
I am haunted tonight
Haunted by your ghost
And everytime it screams
I screem too but
This creature inside me is louder than my mind
I teake a deep breath, take my keys and leave this house
Walking down the streets, towards the little lakes, I look up to the evening sky
I see clouds, birds, stars
And the moon too
I start whispering
Words that come to my mouth
The cold autmn air
Turns my breath into steam:
"Love me
Like you love the sky
Forgive my call
I couldn't fathom your words.
They pierced my being and
Ached my throat
How could my response arrive,
When my hearing impaired
By your words.
I couldn't fathom your words
As they clenched my heart
And tore my mind
I was a while away
From getting to the end
When my feet became motionless
I couldn't fathom your words
That which stealthily captured my faculties
As I tried to keep my hands still
