Are You Smiling?

Wondering, What is life? Are you thinking? Grinning, What's the point? Are you curious? Mysterious, Why you're here? Are you smiling? Wondering, Is there a purpose? Are you shining? Sighing, What is life? Are you laughing? Pretending,

Eyes

Sometimes life is just a little too much and when you smile only half of it is conveyed. Eyes are glass- all seeing, fragile, and clear: they see everything and show the fragile emotions that few people pick up on.

In Immemorial Elms [Dialogue]

Wouldn't it be funny If the stars in their black beyond were hung from the ceiling by fishing line Just painted white cardboard, hollow - but shine Regardless of the opinions of the earth And mine are absent regardless. If you want to hide yourself among them, you may You may find your way across the creaking floorboards Of the black beyond, to the vast array And sit yourself among the countless separatist lords And in this I could take comfort. But perhaps I am content In finding myself in the multitude of their dim vassals Some natural spirit lacking velvet, bells, and tassels Wrapped gently by the veiling morning mist In the fields long below.

Sunset in Baltimore [Observatory]

I have seen the silence Of the city's coat of snow And I have heard the grasses Through the sidewalk try to grow I have walked the alleys As the chatter fell to rest And I have seen the nightly winds And felt them in my chest I have passed the bayside And weeks ago I stalled As ripples chased each other To the edges of the wall And I remember thinking 'What a luxury today With all the fears of old resolved, To sit and watch the bay.'

My Home

The fog rolled out and the waves beckoned... As the moon's pale light triumphed over light clouds and the dark night... Causing my heart to beat in perfect harmony with the crashing waves and calling wind... A symphony begun I stepped into the water and was welcomed with a salty splash... The ocean was where I belonged... It was my home... Yet the home I know keeps its secrets well... Even as we plunder its depths and destroy its life... My home is still fighting... Because it is still in grave danger

Infirmitatem

You stabbed me with your sharp tears. And I bled rivers. Yet I did not feel an ounce of pain. For I was incapable of doing so. It is my greatest strength. Yet it is also my worst weakness.

glittering darkness

Glittering looks and dark souls are a trend So are dark looks and glittering souls It's hard to know what's real When glitter is everywhere And shades of darkness differ It's hard to know what's real When darkness is everywhere And shades of glitter differ It's hard to choose the right shade For darkness and for glitter Because you know you're neither Because you know you're glittering darkness .

time

A time comes of sunny skies and yellow flowers A time comes of dark skies and dead flowers A time comes and leaves A time does not stay So why have you stopped? When it doesn't stay So tell me why have you paused? When it doesn't

faces

Don't let her smile fool Don't let her eyes confuse Happy faces are a lie Don't let her frown fool Don't let her tears confuse Sad faces are a lie Don't let her fool Don't let her confuse Faces are a lie Lies fool you Lies confuse you Don't be a fool Don't be confused

Little Yellow Flower

Lounging in your vase Basking in the morning sun Hidden on the windowsill A barrier of blinds and glass The only solids protecting you Stay your forward gaze Though a screaming hand Makes your petals shiver Cute Little Yellow Flower Tucked in neatly In your vase How long will you stare Avoiding Parch's beckoning Bright Little Yellow Flower Your water will be switched Soon you'll need to grow some thorns

Alone

When I'm alone My thoughts are grown When I'm alone My thoughts are strong I feel the truth Of being me And I don't need to Keep my thoughts mute Like when I with people Who are not real......
