The Abyssal

Darkness cannot overcome itself. am I searching for a cure for my disease-ridden health? am I hoping for a love that no man shall find? The darkness that binds, Is the same darkness that holds me together.

The Power of Ellipses

Its almost funny How these dark silhouettes Of long lost silence The nothing left over by nothing Bore holes in your brain Like the long lost nothing Of all those joints he smoke in high school For all those reasons that ended In a colorful “because” Followed eloquently by an equally colorful ellipse That articulates all the reasons that the world is wrong Then trailing off into paths of pills Leading to empty bottles Which were usually meant only for sleep And leaving holes burned in his memory Articulated by another sorrowful ellipse

Suppositions on Life, Love, War, Sex and Bureaucratic Coffee

I suppose One must wonder if this is love or war If your skin on mine is creation or combat Sparing or sex But they're not that different I suppose Same story with a different end But even there though If you look just a bit too hard There's no way to really know for sure Whether it's fireworks or bombs sent to quench our darkness Bursting in air showering us in fire to help us understand But does it really matter to the darkness how it is broken? For afterall We'll both end up dead, you know And fade in to nothing more than a smudge of black and white ink First spilled into memory, left to dry and then brushed away into accidental recollection

Aged like fine wine

Are we supposed to age like fine wine? With our souls being drank at the end of our lives? Do the gods we believe in take mercy on us? If we find love do we taste better? Some of us decide to end it earlier than others Their wine isn't aged enough It's a cheap wine that only gives temporary happiness Temporary satisfaction

Lack of Feeling

The wonder what it feels like The lack of feeling I do not seek it but I wonder what it feels like l always feel but It does not always feel real That second of pain What's after? The sound of rain? I doubt it There's probably a drought I wonder but I do not seek it Yet

monsters

monsters are the creepy crawlers in the darkness we run from as kids the things we feared when we turned the lights off. the things we had our parents check under the bed for, the things we closed our closet doors at night for. but what do you do when you become the monster you used to run from

Color Poem #2 Blue 10-5-21

I am lost But not hopeless In a state of what i call blue-ish It's the feeling of drowing in your own ocean But being calmer than you should he Not having the mental capacity at the moment to swim Its the feeling of deep sadness But it's soft A dull, plane, hurt that caresses your heart with numb fingers All the while playing a soft lullaby A mother softly singing you to sleep with tears in her eyes Its a calm color A sad color A peaceful color It's a color i hope to feel instead of nothing It's comforting in a slightly unhealthy way

Heart or Mind

Sitting here thinking about you And thinking about him Do I go with my heart Or my mind Do I continue to fall for you Or do I play it safe Do I tell you I love you Or pretend to not care at all Do I follow you blindly Or not at all Somedays I just want to slip away To play it safe Others I want to open my arms to you To let you hold my heart in my hands But who knows if you're just playing me Do I let you know me

The scars on my knees are gone. I noticed that today. Who am I? I don't have a past anymore.
