Weak strength

An oxymoron. An expression. I feel that I'm strong. But weak all the same. My muscles are condtioned. But my feelings are weak. Like an urge I can't fight. I can't resist you. But I can flip tractor tires. I can't stop loving you. But I can curl 135. I can't stop staring at you. But I can leg press 550. This isn't right I know. Like a bomb wanting to blow. Who will go.

Speak. Listen. Learn

We. I never want you when you want me. But it's the same when I want you. What can I do? The feelings are never mutual. Never moving on. Staying in neutral I hit the gas. But never can leave. I act like I can to deceive. I want it. I want us. But that bus already left. So I've spoken. Now I listen. But when will I learn.

Love and Rain

Pour. Fall. Flood. Heat. Evaporate. Repeat. Fall. Love. Happiness. Hate. Lose. Repeat.

What if

I could fall now. I could confess my love. I could make you think wow. I could make you look above. But what if. What if my ego is to large. And your trust is to small. Then the love will end. With one steady fall.

The mentality of a man.

We are all made equal. Yet molded by experence. Changed by our environment. We all want a mate. To pass on our name. We are egotistical. But someone can change us. A special event. Call it love. We have two choices. Keep. Lose. But To me it's different. Have. Have taken. We see life.

sacrificed

He made a choice. One for himself not her. To give her peace. To give her meaning. Yet it was mistaken. You said I have an ego. Well this is honestly true. But, I have one. Based on what you do. I say fall for him. Because I'm not the best. But that's not enough. You want to hurt me. And sacrifice your happiness. Have you seen what I've done? I love you. From day one.

Funny how

Funny how things change. Funny how things happen. Funny how people change. Funny how people happen. Funny how I wanted an ex. Yet go back to different one. Funny how you loved me. Yet you kiss another one. Funny how I'm not rude. Yet you are the opposite. Funny how I let it go. Yet you did the opposite. What was once. Is no longer. I lost my hunger. But tell me I wasn't in love.

XO

I try to find you. Physically you're out of sight. Mentally you're on my mind. In my thoughts. Answering my prayers. I want to tell you. But it's to early. The sun hasn't risen. The rooster hasn't crowed. So I wait. For the perfect time. To confess it all. Express my feelings. XO. Yet we forgot the last. But I hope it's soon to come.

W. I.

What is love. What is life. Who is above. Who is my wife. Why do I love. Why do I have life. What if i love. What if I'm given life. Who can show me love. Who can take my life. Why am I in love. Why do you have life. Women give love. Women give life. I don't understand love. I don't understand life.

* * *

Where is Beauty amidst The madness of our times? Where she has always been: In nature, however cruel; In truth, however hard to bear; In love, however unrequited; In hope, however faint.

Learn

Now, after learning how to love you, I have to learn how to hate you. 'Cause, to me whose heart doesn't un-learn, it is the only way to forget you.

Mrs. Overcoat

You don't need to tell me How it happened, I was there I saw the rain fall And turn to ice I saw the people flock To the broken coffee machine I watched five grown men Fight over a throw blanket And when I called you You were too sad to speak You couldn't bear to see it You were too sad to even cry But we needed you We needed Mrs. Overcoat To keep our spirits warm; I was also there
