sometimes you just have to sit in the corner or in the dark .
just to make sure someone ask ,
" are you okay ? "
I'm not a person anymore , i'm a problem
the day we met doesn't mean anything to me anymore
i reach for the stars but they're falling
i catch one in my hand and i can hear its heartbeat dying
no one ever cares that they're running out of time
all they ever want to do is
bask in their shine
i reach for the sky but it's crying
the teardrops hit my face and i can feel my own start slipping
no one bats an eye when the sky beings to weep
but they do so much for me that i've
reserved my tears for sleep
i reach for myself but i'm fading
the person in the mirror doesn't know that they are failing
when the blood begins to seep into the dam that's filled with tears
and the moments that last mere
seconds feel like years
Isn't it sad,
How parents always say
"Oh I missed the old you."
How they so casually mourn your death
In front of you.
So let's join them.
Make a box,
That's bright pink,
Filled with all of our dead dreams.
Let's fill it with forgotten memories,
Friends that didn't last ,
Betrayal and heartbreak
Times when we actully laughed.
Let's carefully put in a vile of our tears.
More bitter and salty then when we were kids.
Let's place down all the things that changed us
I realized something today.
Flicking through old photographs,
Got a paper cut,
And it hurt quite bad.
It bled alot.
Drip drip dripped
Onto your face.
I tried to wipe it away.
Quickly, so damage couldn't be made.
Disregarded my own pain,
As long as the photograph was okay.
My efforts were futile.
Your face was blurred and smudged.
I can't remember what it looks like now.
There's blood everywhere too,
On my pillow,
There's a snake in my garden
And I don't know what to do.
Someone please help me.
It lays in the grass,
In the center,
Where it's nice and safe.
I ask it to leave.
Politely and gently.
But it hisses no and continues
To resent me.
Dear snake in my garden,
I wish you could leave.
Stop scaring the people,
And eating the leaves.
Oh snake in my garden
can't you see theres no space?
My child,
If only you knew,
What the world had planned for you.
If only you realized,
That love was everywhere that you looked
But the pain made it all blurry.
If only you stayed for a little longer.
Let me hold you in your arms,
While you cried your worries out.
I remember when you first smiled.
Took your first step.
Filled to the brim with confidence,
You conquered.
But you left too early.
Too soon have I said goodbye.
Left alone in your room,
The soap bubbles are enchanting
Swirling, spinning, little glimpses of rainbows
The waters hot,
But not hot enough.
The floors,
The stairs,
The windows,
The cupboards,
All have to be cleaned.
But eventually the work is done.
There is nothing left to clean.
And the demons soon arise.
Sadness engulfs you.
Loneliness in all it's pride and glory,
Squeezes you until you wish to die.
The garden!
Rage filled tears that stain your face.
Broken hearts, a shattered vase.
Stop, you're saying things you don't mean.
Breath in. Breath out.
Take a look around.
Your friends are fake,
They left you now.
Your family is a picture of happiness
When you're not around.
What have you done?
Why have you broken everything nice?
Was it fun?
Was it good?
Was it worth it in the end?
It's okay,
You can live in yesterday.
I wish you would realize,
That I'm so alone,
Its amazing I'm still alive.
I always thought that our
Endless paragraphs would last forever,
But then I came across a full stop.
How is it that I let you in so far?
That everytime I hear my phone,
I'm broken even more because it not you.
God know how much it hurts.
I'm a fool for thinking it will change,
That we'll grow back to our old ways.
So I wrote this for you.
And I hope it finds you well.
Because what i truly want to say is
I'm scared.
In a field of butterflies,
One flies damaged not too high.
All the others laugh and shout,
You dont matter just give up.
In a field of butterflies,
One tries hard to touch the sky.
All the others are above
So the little butterfly gives up.
In a field of butterflies,
On the ground where no one flies,
Lies a little butterfly,
Broken and beaten by the world.
In a field of butterflies,
On the ground where no one flies,
Theres a special little place
Where all the prettiest butterflies lie to rest.
